JOB POSTING – MANAGER of PARTNER RELATIONS
Use your networking skills and contacts to help a state-wide child abuse prevention agency move its mission forward. This position is newly created and thus, you will be a trailblazer in helping us grow and support our state-wide partner network. You will be working as part of a team on some projects, but solely responsible for others, including providing regional trainings, building network capacity, and maintaining communication! Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky is a 33-year non-profit agency based in Lexington, KY. This is a great time to be joining us, as we forge new ground after the Pandemic. We are known for the blue-and-silver pinwheels during Child Abuse Prevention Month, and our annual KIDS ARE WORTH IT! Conference. We also train more than 3,500 people a year on how to prevent child abuse and neglect. We have 250 partners, and we also have17 providers who serve more than 10,000 parents/caregivers through our parent education/self-help/support groups. We are a small, but mighty non-profit, with eight staff and a volunteer Board of Directors at 21 members.
Here's What You’ll Be Working On:
The person who joins our team will be able to:
- Serve as the primary contact for partners to ensure services meet their needs and are delivered in a professional and timely manner.
- Increase recruitment of new partners.
- Maintain relationships with existing partners and maintain partner database.
- Direct efforts to enhance network capacity.
- Work with appropriate staff to execute assigned duties in conjunction with the KIDS ARE WORTH IT! Conference.
- Receive 1-800-CHILDREN training and provide coverage in conjunction with other staff.
- Work in conjunction with staff, Board, agencies, and community partners to ensure successful and timely completion of Child Abuse Prevention Month activities.
- Provide trainings to community partners, interested citizens and agencies as requested.
- Oversee the administration and delivery of regional training events.
- Assist with advocacy and legislative priorities as requested.
- Assist with solicitation of door prizes and donated items as requested.

This is a full-time salaried position with health and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan and generous holiday,
vacation and sick leave.
What Makes You Qualified:
- You have a vast array of community contacts, and you know how to communicate with them and keep them engaged.
- Speaking to a group of five or an audience of 500 does not make you nervous.
- You can write a short newsletter or an Executive Summary, craft an agenda, or author a ten-page report with accuracy.
- All those computer programs like Outlook, Excel and Word? – you know how to use them.
- You are an independent worker, and can problem solve – meaning you are able to think critically through unique problems with no set playbook and quickly implement a path to a solution, and you can toggle effortlessly between big picture strategy and in-the-weeds tactical solutions.
- Our partners help us prevent child abuse & neglect. There are a lot of moving parts, and interactions with public/private entities and all types of agencies. These “systems” all operate differently – if you know how to navigate between and among these systems, then this job may be a good fit.
- You have an educational degree and are willing to put your intelligence to work to help build our partner network.
- You have traveled the state, know its diverse people and geography, and know what works in Paducah does not necessarily work in Pikeville.
- Knowing a creative self-starter means you will have to connect the dots and not necessarily wait for direction before proceeding on a project.
- Can you juggle? – not plates, but projects!
- We cannot always meet with our partners during normal business hours, so, with notice, you will need to be comfortable with traveling after hours.
- You will need to be able to life at least 25 pounds, have reliable transportation, a valid KY driver's license and pass a criminal and child abuse/neglect background check.
